The Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has demonstrated its rightful place in the world of exotic automobiles by remaining at the forefront of go-fast technology. Since its introduction in 2016, the Koenigsegg Regera has been pushing hybrid technology to new heights of performance. Regera is the Swedish word meaning "to rule." The Regera's interior is opulent and packed with high-end equipment you wouldn't expect to see in a car with such rapid acceleration. Unfortunately, the 80-car production run has long since been exhausted, leaving potential purchasers who can afford cars with million-dollar price tags to peruse the market for used hypercars. Pity. The Koenigsegg Regera is a luxury and incredibly quick automobile. There is little sacrifice in terms of creature comforts. The interior is covered in soft leather, the seats are power-adjustable, and there is an intuitive touchscreen infotainment system. The engine vibration is effectively insulated from the cabin. According to the manufacturer, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is suitable for daily use. With over 1,000 lb-ft of torque, it is a practical car for commuting to work.

If you're interested in purchasing a brand-new Koenigsegg Regera, you're a few years too late, as all 80 have already been sold. If you have the money, your only alternative is to purchase one of these supercars used. If you do not have deep pockets, a wall poster may be your only option.
The Koenigsegg Regera sports one of the most unique powertrains of any automobile in the world: a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine positioned below the passenger compartment and functioning in tandem with three electric motors. The total output of the system is 1500 horsepower. The Regera has no transmission; instead, it employs Koenigsegg Direct Drive, which transfers all power from the electric motors and gasoline-powered engine to the rear wheels. The Regera, like other Koenigseggs, is constructed almost completely of carbon fiber and Kevlar and weighs 3,500 pounds, giving it an outstanding weight-to-power ratio. It can accelerate from 0 to 249 mph in just 31.49 seconds, which is a world record. Active aerodynamic components and an adjustable suspension system are responsible for stabilizing the vehicle at such high speeds.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG: The EPA has not tested the Regera's fuel economy, and we have not put one through our 200-mile highway fuel economy test, so we do not know how efficiently or inefficiently it guzzles gas. Notably, Koenigsegg claims that the Regera's hybrid powertrain configuration is exceptionally efficient, so we must take their word for it. If you're searching for a hybrid with exceptional fuel efficiency, a Toyota Prius or Honda Insight is a far superior option. Similar to the Porsche 918, McLaren P1, and Ferrari LaFerrari hypercars, the Regera's hybrid powertrain is not meant to improve fuel efficiency but rather to enhance performance.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo: The Koenigsegg Regera is a sumptuous and incredibly quick automobile. There is little sacrifice in terms of creature comforts. Regeras also include a fascinating technology known as Autoskin, which enables the doors, hood, and front trunk (or frunk) to open and close remotely using the vehicle's hydraulics. Safety and Driver Assistance Functions The Regera lacks safety and driver assistance functions. Only front and rear parking sensors are installed. The entire vehicle is made of carbon fiber and Kevlar, so in the case of a collision, the Regera should be able to withstand the impact and protect its occupants.
