What can be said about the 2023 Nissan GT-R that hasn't been said a million times before? This all-wheel-drive Japanese supercar is legendary among gearheads for being one of the most violently launching vehicles available. Production of the GT-R began in 2007, prior to the global financial crisis, when people were still spending extravagantly on houses and automobiles they couldn't afford. However, unlike the property market, the Nissan GT-R has remained a popular and reliable investment. Under the hood is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 565 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. The six-speed dual-clutch sequential transmission sends power to all four wheels, resulting in a 0–60 mph time of only 2.7 seconds based on real-world testing. You shouldn't expect the same attention to detail, quality, or technology that you'd find in competitors like as the Porsche 911 Turbo, Acura NSX, or Audi R8. Still, aftermarket tuning parts make it simple to transform the GT-R into a hypercar-killer, and many will feel nostalgic for the GT-R as it is gradually phased out around the world.

Virtually every early evaluation of the Nissan GT-R labeled its handling as "PlayStation-like" or "arcade-like." Even though the powertrain is frequently noisy, it stays admirable when fully engaged. With 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque, the excellent launch control system produces harsh acceleration. The gearbox is quite sluggish, but shifting manually makes it more urgent.

The Nissan GT-R is on its final legs, but it is fighting until the end. In the correct hands, this vehicle, which is already well over a decade old, may still teach much more expensive and competent vehicles a thing or two. Nissan nailed the mix, as the GT-R remains an explosive vehicle to drive to this day. The chassis, AWD system, and suspension configuration provide an ethereal driving experience, while the V6 engine continues to emit a frightening howl. The GT-R is not as quick or agile as a Porsche 911 Turbo, but for its age, it is a beast. The front seats of the GT-R are spacious, while the rear seats are only suitable for little children. The interior is well-appointed and loaded with standard equipment, but those expecting a luxurious cabin like that of the Audi R8 or Mercedes-AMG GT will be disappointed with the materials and workmanship. Every model includes dual-zone climate control, leather-and-suede upholstery, heated front seats, and other amenities. Large door pockets and a small center-console bin are the entirety of the interior storage compartments.

Each 2023 GT-R is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen that can be controlled using a rotary knob located on the center console. Apple CarPlay, an integrated navigation system, and a Bose 11-speaker audio system are standard; Android Auto is not. Its infotainment system is straightforward to operate despite the fact that its graphics and menus are not the most appealing.

Features for safety and driver aid The GT-R lacks Nissan's driver-assistance systems, but to be fair, these types of electronics are uncommon in the GT-competitors R's as well. warranty and servicing Those who can afford any GT-R may not place much value on complimentary scheduled maintenance, yet some competitors offer it while Nissan does not. Additionally, its limited warranty period is shorter than that of most competitors, who give four years or 50,000 miles. The duration of the limited warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles. The warranty on the powertrain is valid for 5 years or 60,000 miles. There is no complimentary planned maintenance.
